LISA Pathfinder gets ready to do some science to prove the concept of a space-based gravitational wave antenna. The technology tested on this mission lays the groundwork for a massive space antenna, with nodes tens of thousands kilometers apart, designed to find gravitational waves with a precision not possible with ground-based gravitational wave observatories.
