GOTO Telescopes have been around since the early nineties for amateur astronomy. Starting with the Meade LX series and the Celestron Nexstar telescopes, all you have to do is level the telescope, turn it on and let the GPS figure out the rest.

After that, you can just tell the telescope where to point and it will go there and all you have to do is look in the eyepiece.
